Cary is the academic advisor for music majors at Utah State University. He has an MA in Church Music, and directs the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Choir in Logan, UT. He loves toys in general and takes great pleasure watching parents and children enjoy his vintage American Flyer S-gauge toy train layout. "Shootout at Jingle Junction" is his fourth Pickleville On Tour production bringing to life the spirit of "that jolly old elf," Santa Claus.

I host a Holiday Open House Train Play Day every December. For it, I set up a variety of HO and O gauge trains running around two Christmas trees, all of which are in addition to my permanent 8' by 16' S-gauge American Flyer train layout. The permanent layout is designed to accommodate 6 trains running at once, and includes several operating accessories and action cars, just like children played with in the mid-twentieth century.
